A third option would be to mix roast Vegemite with honey, molasses or brown sugar and baste the meat while it is being cooked.

– Clear an area in your yard or on a patio. For safety reasons, never use the grill near plants and trees! The hot embers can catch onto foliage which will then cause a fire to spread more quickly than anticipated.

– Place heavy-duty aluminum foil down and fill it with damp newspaper or paper towel pieces that have been soaked in water. This helps keep food from falling through the grates of the grill while also making clean up much easier later on when it’s time to get rid of any leftover ashes.

– Build your barbeque by piling loose charcoal briquettes into a pile shape around one side of this sheet, leaving space so air can get underneath. You’ll know it’s ready when the coals are gray and hot.
